LOIDA CORTEZ - QUICHO - born on August 7, 1958 in a seacost view of Puerto Princesa in Palawan, by her parents Rogelio Cortez and Luz Villegas.
Years by, their family moved out here, in Barrio Luz in Limay, for which, a setting similar to the place where she was born. Loida finished her Secretarial course at the University of the East in 1975. Lucky enough, immediately after graduating, got a chance to work for BATELCO on various positions such as Clerk Typist, Executive Secretary, Teller and Bill Controller until its foreclosure.
Mrs. Quicho continued her employment with the next electric cooperative in the province, shortly after it was incorporated in 1990. She started as Bill Controller and thereafter had been exposed to different work assignments. In 1991, she acted as the Head of the Consumers Collection Section, where she supervised Bill Collectors.
With her exposures and potentials, she then qualified for the position of a Chief Cashier, when it was opened in 1992 and she was able to manage it with confidence and integrity all these years.
When not at work, she is a wife and a mother for her 3 boys and only daughter. She spends her free time with her family jamming and cooking their favorite foodstuffs during weekend.
She is happily married to Efren Quicho, a former Seaman. They are blessed with 4 children - Sherwin Glenn (23 years old) - Computer Technician; Jeffrey (21) - a Pharmacist ; Kenneth (18) - 2nd Year Nursing and Sarah Ruth (10) - Grade V student. (BY A. GABRIEL) |
