The Power Substation and Sub-transmission Department (PSSD) conducted Thermal Infrared Scanning last November 22-25, 2004.

This method is practically effective for inspection of power lines and equipments due to loose connection, overheating of electrical equipage and overloading.

Further, it can also detect problems before failure occurs, likewise, reduce system looses when in working order.

The task was completed by the hardworking members of the team headed by no other than Engr. Ruel Redondiez.
