Ms. LORENA REYES-CAPIRAL is a native of Pilar, Bataan. Lorie started her humble beginnings in a small barrio, from which she had probably acquired her simple and gracious ways. She is described by many as a very humble and approachable person. She has a big heart to help others especially when it comes to training a newly hired personnel.

Lorie was born on November 4, 1969, whose parents are both Bataenos. She is the youngest child of Pablo Reyes and Eugenia Alfuente.

She completed her degree in Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Accounting through a Special Scholarship Program at the St. Louis University in Baguio City. Immediately upon her graduation, she took the CPA Licensure Examination and at once passed it.

Her first working experience started as Accounting Clerk at Nikon Industrial Corporation in Valuenzuela, Bulacan for about 7 months. Lorie then tried her luck to apply for a new job when their plant office moved out to a distant place.

On June 19, 1991, her application to PENELCO was accepted. Forthwith, she was given an assignment at Finance Services Department as Budget Officer/Trainee. During her four (4) weeks training, she was immediately recommended by the then AGM for Finance, Mr. Efren Gungon under probationary status. She was assigned to assist the Accountant in compiling data for the preparation of the budget estimates including long-range projections and other statistical data on revenues and expenses. She received her regular appointment on January 05, 1992 and not too long, became the Head of the General Accounting Section.

Lorie's hardship and devotion to work was rewarded by the Almighty, as she was showered with so many blessings both on her work and family. Mrs. Capiral assumed the position of Chief Accountant since March Ol, 1993.

Aside from her assigned duties and responsibilities, she still finds time to manage her other schedules, being a Chairman and member of the created Committees in the office. Lorie, was appointed the Chairman on Unbundling of Rates and Loan Condonations. She is also part of the group working out on major development programs of PENELCO for the continuous economic boom of the province. She was assigned to discuss the financial aspects of PENELCO with the banks financing these rural power projects.

Lorie is pleasantly married to Jeff for about six (6) years now. They were blessed with two lovable kids (both girls), Liz Clarence (5 years old) a JC-II student at Bataan Montessori School and Lei Chrisel (3 years old).

Mrs. Capiral stresses, “the best preparation for good work tomorrow is to do good work today.” (BY A. GABRIEL)
