A big celebration was held at PENELCO last Sept. 13, 2004 because of the birthday of Gov. Tet Garcia which he chose to hold at PENELCO.
It was only last month that Gov. Tet announced his intention to celebrate at PENELCO. The employees especially the September celebrators got so excited, so much so that they thought of something different but memorable in the preparation of the program and presentations. The gracious governor came with his very charming wife Madame Victoria Garcia and some Mayors also came to great him personally like Mayor Raymundo of Orion and Mayor Charlie Pizarro of Pilar.
The governor gave his own rendition of "My Way", followed by Mayor Pizarro and Mayor Raymundo, each had a song number. Mr. Joet Garcia didn't fail to come and gave also a number. A couple of remarkable special number from all Service Center Supervisors singing "Kalesa" and "Umiiwas Sa Pag-ibig" also gave high spirit to the party, likewise, PENELCO dancers made an equally dazzling performance by carrying out their two dance numbers.
Surprisingly, the entirety was astounded by Mr. Joselito Izon's performance. Doing his own rendition of the song "You'll Never Walk Alone" with the help of his co-band members placing that magical wig in and out unto his head ... what a priceless gift for the celebrants! Furthermore, coequally outstanding performance was that of Engr. Marcelino, belting his own version of the song " Ay Naku!". The governor didn't help himself laughing and drying his eyes due to happiness.
Basically, the heart of the program is the traditional greetings of all the PENELCO employees to the celebrators, accompanied by the band singing Happy Birthday Song, the toast of wine and blowing of candles with the Hon. Governor Tet Garcia and RGM Loreto A. Marcelino. Moreover, prepared numbers were presented by the September celebrants for that big event.
Abundantly, the October celebrants prepared luscious and tasty food for that occasion. It was blessed by the Lord by a prayer headed by Ms. Minerva Guinto.
The program lasted up to 5:40 in the afternoon and ended it up by a closing and inspirational message from our RGM Loreto A. Marcelino.
Obviously everyone had a fantastic day that day. (By: Mary Ann Salenga) |
