The newly elected Governor of Bataan, Enrique "'Tet" Garcia gave PENELCO a warm welcome when the PENELCO Group headed by Engr. Loreto A. Marcelino visited the Governor on his 2nd day at the Capitol as a courtesy call. Engr. Marcelino, the Resident General Manager of PENELCO presented to the Governor, the Service Reliability Program of PENELCO for the next 5 to 10 years. In the said presentation, he said that one of the most probable effect of the plan is further reduction of Power Rate, although at present , PENELCO rate is already considered the lowest in Luzon based on records. PENELCO has a plan of installing one Substation in every municipality, and even 2 or 3 in some towns like Balanga, Mariveles, Dinalupihan and Limay. Said strategy will surely limit the effect of power outages in the province and even the duration of outages. Moreover, in the said scheme when a breakdown of one substation occurs, PENELCO could easily shift the source of power to the next nearest substation so that power interruption will be avoided. Eventually, the system loss will also be reduced.
The Governor was just so happy to hear those information. Before the PENELCO group left, he promised that he will continue to support PENELCO and he also gave assurance that all the obligations of the Capitol (Electric Bills) shall be settled in due time. By: SOL TRIA |
