ALICIA CRUZ-ULANGCA or simply Alice to everyone, is a resident of Limay, Bataan. Her parents are Fermin Cruz (deceased) and Natividad Perona. Alice was born on December 15, 1956 with his twin brother, Alex, in Barangay Poblacion in Limay. She took up Secretarial Administration at Samson Technical Fashion School. Immediately after finishing the course, she enrolled again for Hair and Beauty Culture from 1976 to 1977. She was proud to say that her knowledge and skills acquired from this special course gave her the opportunity to support herself and her family.

Ms. Ulangca had a chance to work for BATELCO as Clerk /typist from 1978 to 1982 and as Bill Controller from 1983 to 1990.

Not too long, after BATELCO’s foreclosure in 1990, a new coop under the name of Peninsula Electric Cooperative, Inc. (PENELCO) was incorporated. Ms. Ulangca tried her luck then and she was hired as Bill Controller of Mariveles SC and later became Assistant Supervisor of Cabcaben SC. Ms. Ulangca’s dedication, hard work and untiring support to the coop on her fruitful years of service in PENELCO were just a few of her good qualities. She was detailed as Supervisor of Mariveles for how many years now.

She was given a chance to have more exposure for career development through the various seminars she had attended, to name a few of these were Seminars on Dynamics of Group, Functioning/ Sensitivity Training, Humanizing Optimum Potential for Effectiveness and Efficiency, Advance Cooperative Management Course and Leadership Seminar.

She was best described by her family and friends as jolly, kindhearted and fashionable person. She enjoys visiting different places, particularly historical ones. She loves hiking and all sort of challenging experiences. In fact, she was one of the survivors who made to stay until the last venture inside the Sumaguing Cave during our Sagada trip two years ago.

Likewise, she was an active member of Christian Life Program - Couples for Christ from 1995-1997 and later joined the Handmaids of the Lord from 1998- 2001.

Alice is married to Eddie Ulangca, a former Overseas Contract Worker. They were blessed with 2 children - - Aldwin (21) an Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) Graduate at New Era University and Dowell (19) 4th Year College Student - Electrical Engineering (EE) at St. Louis University.
