ROMULO ANAMOS NOJADERA or "Peter" as fondly called by many, had his humble beginning in Bagumbayan, Bagac, Bataan. He was born on June 10, 1955. Peter was the 5th child among the 13 offsprings of Armando Nojadera and Juanita Anamos, a Zambaleņa. As a young man, Peter already manifested his inclination to business. He recalled waking up very early in the morning to get some stuff (breads and candies) in another town (Orion) and made the delivery all by himself at the various stores in the whole town of Morong. He was earning between P12 to P15 daily at that time.
Peter dreamt of being an office worker, as he was inspired by the employees working at the Municipal Office of Morong, gazing to them everytime he passed by infront of the building. He was a devotee to the Patron of Seņora Concepcion del Pilar, and day after day he prayed hard to give his heart's desire.
Not too long, God unveiled his plan for Peter's life. He was able to work for Long Beach Mining Corporation in Cabayo, Bagac as a Cashier. He also worked for Dingalan Forest Product Corporation in Dingalan, Quezon as an Office Clerk for a year.
The biggest break came his way when he was hired by the Systems & Structure Incorporated- PNPP-I (Philippine Nuclear Power Plant) in 1976 for housing project. He was assigned as Clerk under the utmost supervision of Mrs. Herminia L. Andrade, whom he considered his mentor. He remembered this person telling him, "isang araw ang mga pangarap mo ay matutupad. Gawin mo lahat ng ginawa ko sa `yo sa mga taong nasasakupan mo. Bigyan mo sila ng pagtitiwala katulad ng ibinigay ko sa `yo." He was really grateful for the exposures given to him by this company. He stayed there for 5 years.
After his contract at the PNPP, he immediately applied to another company. He was very happy to be employed at the only electric cooperative in the region. He was hired by BATELCO as a Plantation Inspector (on a contractual basis) for Dendro Thermal Project. Shortly after accomplishing the project, he was designated Bill Collector of Morong SC. Aside from performing the job, he was at the same time a Supervisor/Bill Controller and a Teller. Morong had only four (4) personnel at that time.
When BATELCO had some problems on its operation in the year 1986. Engr. Edgardo R. Piamonte was one of the members of the task force sent by NEA to assist the coop.
BATELCO's foreclosure in 1990 opened a new door for many young professionals in the province. However, there were still some of the old employees of BATELCO who were given a chance to work in the newly incorporated coop - PENELCO. Peter was one of them. Engr. Piamonte recognized his dedication and hardwork, hence, he was given a permanent appointment as Service Center Supervisor then. At present, Engr. Loreto A. Marcelino, PENELCO's Resident General Manager, also believes that Peter really did a great job in supervising the operation at Morong SC, the reason why he stayed there over a decade now. Peter was really thankful for the trust given to him by our dynamic RM.
Mr. Nojadera was given a chance to be exposed to career and personality development. He had attended various seminars such as Personal Effectiveness, Visioning and Strategic Planning Workshop for ECs, Personal Leadership and Development Course, Supervisory Management, Building Cooperative Image, Consumer Relations Program and Professional and Personal Effectiveness Through Leadership Seminar.
In the recently held PENELCO 14th Year Anniversary, Morong SC was a recipient of "Best in Cost Savings" based on effective and maximum utilization of manpower and wise and efficient use of gasoline and electricity. He encouraged his staff not only to be productive but in like manner to be concerned to the coop's resources.
Mr. Nojadera is married to former Delia Romero, a native of Dingras, Ilocos Norte. Despite being a degree holder, Delia preferred to be a housewife, attending to Peter and their children. They were blessed with 3 child-ren (all boys) namely Dennis-22 years old (4th Year BSIT); Eric Paolo-19 (4th Year BSME); and Arjay - 16 (Ist Year Nursing).
When alone, he used to ponder the goodness of the Lord in his life while he sings his favorite tagalog song, " Maraming salamat po sa inyong lahat . Dahil sa inyo napunta ako sa aking nais marating. At unti-unti ang mga pangarap ko'y nagniningning.
Peter stresses that his motto "Nasa tao ang gawa, nasa Diyos ang awa" truly became his lifeverse which he shared with his family. (BY A. GABRIEL) |
