Employee of the Month: WILLIE BENAMIR   Print  E-mail

As the saying great things come from small packages goes; nothing can come as near to this as Kuya Willie Benamir.

A man with a pure heart, a great sense of responsibility, a good personality, and great smile and sense of humour, who cares if he is just five feet and a few inches from the ground? Kuya Willie may be small but he is one tough man; carrying out his duties as a public servant and coop employee while being the patriarch and fathering four children Born to Mr. Rolando Benamir and to Ms. Lucita Diaz-Benamir on the 15th of February, 1965, our little valentino delivered more than sweet chocolates to the Benamir family.

Being the second and middle child, Kuya Willie grew up to be self-sufficient.

He finished his primary education in Orani North Elementary School in 1979 and completed his secondary education in Jose Rizal Institute in 1983. He then pursued his studies and graduated in Guzman Institute of Electronics in 1985.

Two years after, Kuya Willie was hired as an Instrumentation Technician in Johannes Burg Packaging Corp. In 1989 he ventured into another job and was hired by PNOC Geothermal as a Building Electrician until the 90’s.

Using his years of experience in his chosen field, Kuya Willie was finally brought to the gates of PENELCO where he was hired as a Laboratory Aid on Dec 1, 1990.

During his stay in the cooperative, Kuya Willie showed dedication and immense sense of responsibility in his work. He performed different assignments such as Meter Specialist and Metering Foreman before finally being assigned as BAPA Maintenance Section Foreman. Currently he is still assisting in the Reading of Industrial/Commercial Consumers.

Our little jack of all trades was wed to Mrs. Emilyn Benamir on the 10th of January, 1988 at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Parish. They were blessed with four children: Mharvin, Vina Mae, Aldrine and Kim Kyla.

A good natured and humble man, that’s who Kuya Willie is. Needless to say, we still can expect great things form this little guy as he continue his service in the cooperative.
