PENELCO Installs Fault Current Indicator   Print  E-mail

Just recently, Penelco installed its first fault current indicator on overhead distribution system.

Pilar 10 MVA Substation Four (4) Feeder Distribution Line was the first to have this apparatus installed at various points on the system. The main purpose of this fault circuit indicator is to quickly identify the faulted line problem, to improve outage time, to reduce operating cost and to improve (reliability) on customer’s service.

More of this fault circuit indicator will be installed on Penelco’s sixty eight (68) feeder distribution circuits to cope with EPIRA’s mandate to have a practically zero down time on line interruption. (Tony Paguio)
