PENELCO holds elections for the new set of Board of Directors of the cooperative. The elections are held in designated voting precincts on the different Municipalities of Bataan on assigned dates. The master lists of the member-consumers who are qualified to vote are posted on Service Centers, Municipal Halls and other strategic places for verifications.

The election for the PENELCO director of the Municipality of Mariveles was held last December 13, 2008 with Director Almario Rubia as the victor with 116 votes. Next was the election on the City of Balanga with a single entry and was concluded with Director Carlito Enriquez emerging as the winner with 76 votes this January 17, 2009. The Municipality of Limay election followed suit this January 24, 2009 with another lone candidate which was won by Director Alberto Villaruz with 86 votes.

The election of the Director for the Municipality of Orion was next yet another single candidate. It was concluded with the re-election of Director Ma. Lilibeth R. Fuster with 86 votes this January 31, 2009. The elections for the rest of the municipalities are scheduled as follows:
