“There is such a thing as LOYALTY to one’s work”. All of us have to work our best, anything less is short changing. And that a person’s attitude towards work reflects his values in life. Yes, this becomes the favorite lifeverse of our featured employee this month, the Foreman of Bagac Service Center. Foreman Godofredo Sangalang or “Fred” as fondly called by his family and friends hails from Orion, Bataan. He was born on July 20, 1958. His parents are Sergio Sangalang and Consolacion Vicente.
After graduating from Jose Rizal Institute in 1975, he immediately got a job as a Pipefitter at Bataan Refining Corporation. Then on, he decided to apply in our cooperative in May 1990. He was first assigned as a Lineman/Driver at the Engineering Services Department and then on was transferred to different service centers to assist the maintenance crew.
His various appointments came in 1993 from Acting Leadman to Acting Foreman. He was confirmed as a Foreman of Bagac Service Center on January 1, 2001 and was transferred to Limay Service Center in July 2003. According to him, his new assignment developed his interpersonal skills and changed his outlook in both life and work. His enthusiasm for the work can be attested by his coemployees and as reflected by commendable rating in all his appraisals.
Mr. Sangalang, is an active member of the Church of God. He adds that his other main responsibility is also guiding and leading his family on their spiritual life and growth. He got married to the former Yolanda Barcelona. They were blessed with 6 children, Yodie (31); Karen (30); Ailene (28); Girlie (26); Gina (24) and Juvy (22). |
