The National Electrification Administration (NEA) in partnership with Global Competitiveness Advocacy, Inc. conducted a five-day seminar/ training on Human Resource Management and Development for Electric Cooperatives (ECs) last September 15-19, 2008 at the NEA Office in Quezon City.

The course was designed to enhance professionalism and reinforce the HR skills and competencies of EC/HR practitioners amidst the various challenges in the industry.

The training was participated in by the different ECs throughout the country and there were three resource persons who were experts in their field.

As a participant, I can say that the seminar was extensive. I learned a lot from the discussions and was able to network with other EC people. It made me appreciate the importance of HR as a significant partner in building a competitive organization with competent personnel.
