Thirty (30) undersecretaries from the Indian Government together with representatives from NEA visited the PENELCO main office to observe how the cooperative is administered, and to know the how-to’s of electric cooperative management.

The guests were indulged with a mini program and a small gathering. After the introductions and the recognitions of the guests by the emcees - Mr. Mel Banzon and Ms. Johnna Dizon - Dir. Ma. Lilibeth Fuster (Board Vice-president) gave her heartwarming welcome remarks, followed by the presentation of PENELCO profile by Ms. Liza Samson.

The second part of the program was marked with a speech and birthday greetings from Dir. Fernando Manalili (Board Secretary). The floor heated up as the September birthday celebrators together with the PENELCO dancers, in their Indian-inspired outfit, danced their way into the dance floor to the tune of a punk pop Indian mix (which by the way ended with a commendable tableau). The traditional cake and wine ceremony with Engr. Loreto Marcelino (General Manager) followed suit.

An appreciation speech was delivered by one of the Indian nationals and as an added treat; two of them serenaded everyone with an Indian love song. The floor was opened afterwards where the guests and the PENELCO staff Flashdanced their way to Fame and Electric Dreams. The guests may not be yuppies but they sure can sway those hips; same with our dear directors, supervisors and employees - suave moves.

Living the spirit of harmony and camaraderie the program ended with a short message from Dir. Alberto Villaruz (Board President) and a small banquet where everyone enjoyed their meal and the company of the guests.
