PENELCO conducts bidding for WB/DBP funded projects

The Peninsula Electric Cooperative, Inc. (PENELCO) in its mandate to provide adequate, reliable and high quality electricity at a reasonable rate, continuously seek ways to improve its service for the people of Bataan. The procurement of state of the art equipments for the construction of Power Substations in one of the many ways to realize such mission. In connetion to this, a bidding process was conducted to ensure that PENELCO will acqquire equipments of high quality materials at a reasonable price. After the publication of invitation for bids in newspapers of national circulation, nine (9) potential bidders attended the Pre-Bid Conference on May 4, 2007 at PENELCO Harmony Hall. These suppliers were invited to for the following schedules:
Schedule I : 10/12.5 MVA Power Transformers - 2 Lots Schedule II : 69/13.8 kV Protection & Metering Equipment - 2 Lots Schedule III : Dsitribution Transformers 1.25kVA - 45 Units 2.35.5kVA - 82 Units 3.50kVA - 100 Units 4.75kVA - 40 Units
On May 18, 2007 at PENELCO Leadership Hall, four (4) prospective suppliers submitted their bids for the foregoing schedules. These bid proposal were opened at exactly two o’clock in the afternoon (2:00 pm) in the presence of PENELCO Pre/Post Bid and Award Committee (PBAC), and representatives from each bidder.
The above proposals will still be subject for evaluation as to conformity with the terms and specification indicated in the bid documents. For purposes of evaluation, exchange rates during the opening of bids are PHP 46.79 = 1 USD 63.15 = 1 EUR. |
