The Engineering Department of the National Electrification Administration (NEA-ED), headed by Engr. Jose H. The NEA-ED, comprising of thirty (30) engineers and staff, visited PENELCO on April 12-13, 2007 to learn more on the distribution facilities of EC for benchmarking. The coop was very glad to show their modernized substation design and structure in compliance with Republic Act 9136 also known as “Electric Power Industry Reform Act of 2001”. They visited the Hermosa, Orani and Samal Services Centers and Substation. All of the substation are designed with a four (4) legged galvanized steel structure, 69kV SF6 circuit breaker, four (4) feeders type tested switchgear with five (5) sets of 15kV SF6 circuit breakers, and control panel consisting of 69/15kV protection and metering equipment that are Supervisory Control and Date Acquisition (SCADA) ready. |
