ATMEC III Holds Meeting at PENELCO

The Association of Technical Mana-gers of Electric Cooperatives in Region III (ATMEC III) held its regular monthly meeting in the Province of Bataan last March 16, 2007. ATMEC III is composed of the department/division managers coming from fourteen (14) electric cooperatives (ECs) in the provinces of Aurora, Tarlac, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Zambales and Bataan. The Association was given the chance to visit the state-of-the-art substations and service center facilities of PENELCO in Hermosa, Orani and Samal. The model of PENELCO and the warm welcome of PENELCO staff changed the ATMEC perspectives on electric cooperative; they dreamed to adopt PENELCO's set-up to their respective co-op.
ATMEC III meets every month to discuss technical issues and concerns of electric cooperatives operation relative to the passage of the Republic Act 9136 also known as "The Electric Power Industry Reform Act" for better services to the member-
consumers. |
