PENELCO received the Administrator's Award for having gone beyond the mandate of energizing the countryside and taken as its advocacy the propagation of rural electrification program in terms of continuing education, providing the necessary assistance to others on financial, technical, and institutional rehabilitation; initiated and shared best practices, thus promoting the paramount interest of its member-consumers, and spearheaded cooperation efforts among electric cooperatives in time of calamity and other needs and the Top Gainers Award for posting the highest net margin for the year 2005, thereby manifesting sound financial management decisions and strategies. Likewise, the Co-op was given Special Recognition for EC's with Most Number of PDA Graduates who have acquired values and necessary skills in the rendition of service to member-consumers and a Special Citation for the Broadband over Power Lines (BPL) which aims to give its rural populace the access to modern technology and for being the first in the country to advance in the operation of its BPL facility. In addition, Engr. Loreto Marcelino was awarded the General Manager of the Year Award for mega large coop category, together with managers Wilfred L. Billena of ILECO I and Jesus P. dela Victoria of DASURECO.

PENELCO has been receiving awards and recognition for some years now but we still continue to strive to better serve our member -consumers. Congratulations to PEN ELCO for a fruitful year 2005. (Liza dela Fuente)
