PENELCO recently held its 2"d leg of district elections in the towns of Morong, Hermosa, Samal and Abucay held last January 28, February 4, February 11, and February 18 respectively.

In Morong 1,418 or 65% of the total number of registered voters out of 4072 were able to cast their votes. Qualified candidates were: Ms. Minerva De Leon, Mr. Gerardo "Gerry" Calimbas, Mr. Angelino Repedro. Mr. Gerardo "Gerry" Calimbas emerged as the new Board Director for Morong with a total of 74% of the total number of votes cast.

Hermosa with total of 9,455 registered voters, 2,144 or 23% were able to cast their votes. Qualified candidates were: Mr. Gaudencio "Guding" Ferrer and Mr. Danilo "Bok" Santos. Mr. Danilo Santos garnered 1,134 or 53% total votes, officially the new Board Director Hermosa.

Samal with total votes cast 2,753 or 47% out of 5,831 registered were able cast their votes. Qualified candidates were: Mr. Ernesto "Nestor" Abella, Ms. Generosa "Gene" Malibiran-Dela Fuente and Mr. Rolando "Rolly" Forbes. Land slide victory for Ms. Generosa Malibiran-Dela Fuente with total of 1,763 or 64% votes cast.

Out of 6,904 number of registered voters in Abucay 2,797 or 41% participated. Qualified candidates were: Mr. Modesto "Moding" Salandanan and Mr. Rogelio "Roger"Salaya. With a total of 2,099 or 75% total number of votes Mr. Modesto Salandanan won as the new Board Director of Abucay.
