PENELCO Employees Attend Training on OR and HRD

An in-house training on Organizational Restructuring and Human Resource Development for Management and Rank & File employees was held last November 19-25, 2005 at the Leadership Hall, Penelco Main Office. The 1St and last day of the training included all employees while the rest of the days were only attended by the supervisory levels. Said training was facilitated by former NEA Director for Coop Services in the person of Mrs. Alicia R.F. Mercado, for which she is now into training task also at PPDIC Management Company, Inc. as Vice-President for Utility HR Institutional Development and Administration. Mrs. Mercado stresses that she proposed for a training intervention despite hectic schedule of the coop's operation for additional knowledge of employees in relation to the implementation of the ECs Business Separation and Unbundling of Plan (BSUP). Discussions also covered other topics on Organizational Restructuring, Job Pricing (Salary Grade) and Performance Evaluation.
An open forum was then conducted to answer the concerns of employees. Mrs. Mercado responded to their queries with satisfaction. The employees were appreciative of the course. According to them, the seminar was well planned and timely as it was very much suited to the present issue affecting the electric distribution utilities. (AVG) |
