Mr. RUSTICO VIANZON DE LA FUENTE or simply "Rusty" to his fellow Penelco employees was born on April 19, 1960 - the 4th child among the five children of Mr. Reinerio dela Fuente (deceased) and Remedios Vianzon.

He graduated from the Adamson University in 1987 with a BS  Mechanical Engineering degree

Mr. dela Fuente joined PENELCO on February 24, 1997 as Technical Aide/Trainee of the Audit team under the Office of the General Manager, while receiving only a P50.00 as his daily allowance.

At the very start of his career, Rusty showed enthusiasm in performing every tasks assigned to him, as reflected in his Performance Appraisal Report, as he had satisfactorily passed all the requirements during his casual and probationary period. He was commended by his superiors as an asset to the cooperative because of his willingness to dedicate his time, effort and talent. He got his regular appointment in November 1997. He then worked his way up to reach his goal. He was then given a chance to lead a team. Mr. dela Fuente was appointed as Leadman under the Engineering Services Department just a month after he became a regular employee.

With an inevitable growth and expansion projects of PENELCO, Rusty was given additional assignment to assist the PSSD Manager (who was then the Area Manager) in supervising the construction of Abucay SC and Substation in March 2003. Also then,  he was designated as Acting Head of the Construction Section, for which got his confirmation six months later.

Another recommendation for Change of Plantilla Position as the Acting Chief for Operation and Maintenance was considered by the management for Mr. dela Fuente in March of 2004. His great sense of responsibility and dedication to every tasks and duties assigned to him, moreso, his ability to work harmoniously with his people were among his 'plus factor. He was promoted the Chief of the Operation and Maintenance Division in June this year.

Rusty, talks about how lucky he has been to have worked with PENELCO  all these years. For him, being in field work is where the real action is and that one should be physically present in our area to be able to perform our duties well. He is busy monitoring the on-going construction projects of PENELCO sub-offices and substations.

This native of Bagac is happily married to Marivic, a School Teacher. The couple has a 9 year old daughter, Rosemarie Ann and soon to have another child in a few months time.

On weekends, he prefers to be with his family doing activities altogether.
Rusty stresses that he benefited with the saying, "when people see you working hard, they do the same and things fall into their right places."
