The said event coincided with the July birthday celebration which was made more meaningful because it was graciously attended by no less than the endearing Governor Enrique T. Garcia Jr. who rendered an impromptu song number and some members of the Board of Directors namely, Ms. Nerisa Medina, Mr. Almario Rubia, and Mr. Fernando Manalili .

The visit proved to be beneficial to both countries and institutions that they can benchmark power/electricity distribution and services. Gen. Dumol in his message mentioned that Philippines and Thailand used to have common statistics same 30 years ago and that a wide gap has grown between the two countries particularly in power/electricity distribution technology and equipment. He further reiterated that we can learn from the Thai government and T-CON that quality does not necessarily translate to high costs.

On the other hand, the visitors were very impressed with PENELCO  facilities and human resource that Mr. Somboon even mentioned that PENELCO is a perfect cooperative. He even announced his invitation for management to visit their country to further foster good relations and more importantly learn more about the industry from their vantage point. Such inspiring words motivate PENELCO management and employees to strive even more to become more efficient in service delivery for the member/consumers' satisfaction.
