Luis H. Villaluz or simply “Louie” for his comrades and co-employees was born on September 24, 1963, the 6th among the 7 siblings to parents Buenaventura Villaluz and Maria Hernandez. A former Meter Readers and Draftsman, he then re-applied as Billing Clerk/ Operator to PENELCO immediately after BATELCO’s foreclosure and was hired May of 1990. On November 1990 he was assigned as EDP Clerk, and became a Computer Operator on September 1993, later appointed as Acting EDP Chief on March 1994 marking the technological facelift of the cooperative. He was formally designated as EDP Chief on June 1994.
Awarded by PENELCO a scholarship to study under the Computer Literacy Program of System Technology Institute in Balanga and passed with flying colors earning the Silver Medal Award for Excellency. Among his achievements, he also attended numerous seminars and trainings regarding computer hardware, software and programming.
Showcasing his talents in music, Mr. Villaluz plays the base guitar in the PENELCO Band.
He is happily married to former Marietta dela Peña also an employee of PENELCO and blessed with two children, Mark Lowell (12 years old) an incoming 2nd year high school student at the Tomas del Rosario College and Mary Louise (9 years old) an incoming grade 5 student at the Cupang Elementary School.
