PENELCO Eyes to Purchase 69kv Sub-transmission Line

Republic Act No. 9136 which is an act ordaining reforms and the electric power industry includes the divestment of the Transco's sub-transmission line to qualified buyers party either through an outright sale or concession contract. PENELCO submits letter of intent to TRANSCO for the purchase of the sub-transmission line specifically at Bataan West Central Plain.
PENELCO is being served by Transco's sub-transmission line with more or less 160-circuit km. At present PENELCO owns less than 10 kms of sub-transmission line which is serving the Dinalupihan 10MVA substation and Main office 10 MVA substation.
Acquiring Transco's sub-transmission line, the cooperative could generate additional revenue on wheeling charge and connection fees from the end users as approved by the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC). (By: Engr. Tony Paguio) |
