Fifteen years of service. Fifteen years of high quality electri-city. One outstanding electric cooperative. 11th of April 2005, for the 287 employees, PENELCO Board of Directors Fernando Manalili and Reynaldo Valencia, and their guest of honors - General Pedro Dumol, former DPWH Secretary Gregorio Vigilar and his wife; UCPB Manager Nestor Ambrocio; ex-director Msgr. Renato Manansala; wife of  1st District Congressman, Mrs. Herminia Roman; Mayor Tony “Pep” Raymundo and Governor Enrique “Tet” Garcia, all roads led to PENELCO main office for the celebration of the coop's 15th year anniversary.

Everyone trekked to PENELCO in high spirits, excited and tensed for the much-awaited presentations prepared by the employees who are grouped according to the twelve signs of the zodiac.

Diverse from the traditional dance numbers, each group presented two kundiman songs of their choice. The Scorpio, Sagittarius and Libra group was awarded first, second and third place respectively. One of the highlights of the program was the PENELCO Band leading the whole group in singing “Ikaw ang Mahal Ko” by Levi Celerio dedicated to their General Manager Engr. Loreto A. Marcelino, truly showing the continuing solidarity among PENELCO employees. Equally showcasing their talent was the PENELCO Dancers who very well performed a modern tribal dance number.

A joint birthday celebration for the March and April celebrators also form part of the program in recognition of employees born on the said months. An April ce-lebrant himself, former General Manager Engr. Edgardo Piamonte also graced the occasion and shared with the merriment of PENELCO  employees.

This kind of celebration only passes once a year and for an electric cooperative like PENELCO, fifteen years of existence is not because of luck. As what all the guest speakers said, PENELCO's achievements are products of good management, hard work and cooperation among employees who continuously strive for a single purpose of providing reliable and high quality service to their consumers.
